Shortly after installing the DP motor I started hearing a noise while the clutch was pushed in. Once released, I thought the noise went away. I had hubby listen to it and he thought he still heard it either way, so we chalked it up to just a noise in the motor. I kept driving it for a few more weeks when this last Friday while in a drive thru I noticed it acting different. It started to chatter when first taking off and also seemed like it wanted to jump into gear when going into second. So I asked hubby if we could put it on the lift at his work so I could check the clutch cable. I figure this being the 3rd cable, maybe it was starting to fray. Once up on the lift we noticed that the throw out bearing arm was coming out of the tranny.
Here is a look at it when we first pulled the motor.
This is it after hubby tapped it back to where it was supposed to be.
The cir clip had came out of its grove allowing the arm to float back and forth. Which caused my noise I was hearing.
After fixing that we finally got to put my new bumper on. Here is a before pic.
After. Got rid of the ugly rust spot and now has bumper guards.

New Armrest.
Wow, 2 updates so close together. LOL
I recently bought a set of seats out of a Euro van because they had armrests, and I thought it would be neat to have armrests. After test fitting them in my friends bus, I decided I didn't think I would like them. So they are now in the rafters. Then I came up with the idea of just making my own armrests and installing them in my bus some how. My plan was going to consist of an armrest and maybe a bar that went down to the seatbelt bolt. Hubby came up with the idea of using an armrest off of one of the handicap scooter aka Lark. We had a set from one of his Mom's old Larks. After looking at them he figured out a way to connect them to the bus and today we did just that. :D
So here is what he came up with. Of course the paint job is all me and I put the tie dyed cover on it. :D
I want to eventually do the same thing to the passenger side, but hubby thinks it is good enough like this for now. I just think it would look more complete with the other side done too. Will make it kind of tight to walk through, but it would still be doable.

New Bumper
Today we R&R'd the front bumper.
Before
After
Just an artsy shot I took while laying on the creeper.
This is my new (old) camp light. A friend was cleaning out his Dad's garage and gave me the light. It has all the original papers with it. I don't think they ever used it.
