Finally, and update.

Boy it's been a while since I wrote here. I've been busy dealing with schedule changes at work and trying to cope with the loss of sleep, so haven't felt like doing much but reading FB and the other Forums I go to. LOL A lot has happened since the last update. I found that the Never Wet doesn't work to seal leaks. LOL I ended up just putting some silicone under the seal and that did the trick.

First thing new is I decided it would be easier to haul my bikes on a bumper mounted rack. We had found this rack a long time ago so I cleaned it up and installed it on the back bumper.

Hubby didn't like that we couldn't get into the deck lid fast if we had too, so I moved it to the front.

I have yet to use it. LOL Hubby hauled the bikes in his bus when we did go camping. LOL

Here are my VW Rugs I ordered online. Pretty cool. :D

We have been doing a few shows. This was the Roufhaus Hot Dog run.

I also installed some window guards. I wouldn't recommend these. They are hard to install. I broke the driver side one but the place I bought them from reimbursed my money and let me keep the guards. It still works, but I have to constantly push  the driver one up all the time.

Here is what I did with my bike rack while the rack itself is not on it. I will ad badges as I get them. :D

This was the meet up spot for the Elk Grove VW show. My son is driving my 66 bug that is in the pic. The brown one.

A couple pics from the show.

We got bored and painted the 64 bus. You will see in a pic further down that the kids love it. LOL

Here are a few pics from our camping trip with the VW Camper Family. This was at School Canyon Camp Grounds. It's in Guerneville (sp) CA. Very nice campsite.

My set up.

This was my sons idea! We used our old changing booth for a out house! Made it great to not have to walk down to the restrooms in the middle of the night. :D

A view of the private beach for the campgrounds.

One of the other campers came along and gave us a packet and said to throw it in the fire. Made really cool colors in the flames. Lasted a long time too.

Here are the kids that loved the 64 bus. We stopped at a school yard sale and all the kids had to get a pic of them in front of the bus.

Our last stop on the way home from camping.

Our last camping trip was BugoRama. That was over Memorial Day weekend. For those that don't know of it, it is a car show, swap meet, and drag races all in one. I really love camping there and doing the swap meet. This next pic is from the "pre" Bugorama show. It was held at Niello VW.

Here we are waiting in line to get in at Bugo.

Sadly, I forgot to take any pics of the camping set up. My son did so I will try to snag a pic from him later and ad it in. Here are some of our finds.

Finally found me a good condition original tire cover for my spare. :D

This was the deal of the day though. 15 bucks and it works!! :D Summer will be cool now. :D

Well, that is the latest and greatest going on with Wes the Westy. I am trying to plan a few more camping trips and shows for the summer. I will definitely be going to the Labor Day BugoRama. Thats all for now!
